Got a Lou Schuyler grant!

A picture of a Purépecha manuscript

I'm grateful to receive the Lou Schuyler grant to support my work on historical and computational linguistics of Purépecha. This will allow me to consolidate the ongoing work on the compilation and transcription of 16th-century manuscripts in Purépecha, in addition to the computational analyses required. In the thumbnail, a picture of the original manuscript of the "Diccionario Grande", the most important linguistic source for older Purépecha, hosted at the University of Tulane, in New Orleans. I'm in the process of making its contents computable!
